YOUR FAVOURITE MUSIC
Francesca Londono is a dream-pop artist, singer, songwriter, and producer from Miami whose music aims to bring an otherworldly listening experience by exploring the emotional effects of nostalgia and melancholy through nature-inspired sounds and visuals, where she finds a sense of belonging and healing power in the mystical nature. You will find tradition, heritage, and love for nature in her food, routines, books, and songs. You will find her dressed in hand-crafted jewels and one-of-a-kind vintage fashion pieces she collected when she traveled around the world. Her spiritual, mystic beauty makes her look out of place in this fast-paced world, as if she walked out of a faded old film. As the world looks into the future, she finds artistic inspiration, wisdom, and support from the past. Her nostalgic emotions find solace in her indigenous Colombian culture and its close relationship with nature. Growing up in Colombian culture, her family strongly identified with the ancestral wisdom harnessed through their interdependence with nature, especially how nature heals and clears one's body and mind. And her family named her after the saint "San Francisco de Asis," the saint of ecology and animals.

Nature shaped her identity and is reminiscent of a familial sense of belonging. She sees nature as close as her family, comforting her when her father passed away at ten. She started writing songs describing her melancholic emotions growing up without her father, combining the ethereal, spiritual, and mystical essences she was captivated by. Losing her father transformed her into the artist she is today. The unspeakable, raw, spiritual power that nature holds she expresses through her music. Her textured, atmospheric sound palette mimics the interconnectedness of all living beings in nature, and her metaphoric lyrics using elements like plants and geographic features convey nature's symbolic significance.
Her upcoming concept album titled "Animism," expected to be released in January 2024, with each track inspired by a natural element, is a tribute to nature. To prepare for the album, she started learning more about the roots of traditional cultures from other parts of the world, like Japan, Greece, Egypt, etc, that all incorporate different yet similar beliefs about nature. We all are surrounded by nature, just as music is a universal language, and it nurtures all communities and cultures no matter where they are in the world. Nature has been there all along, and Francesca hears its calling to use music to create a serene, ethereal utopia where people unite because of this commonness.
